Surface

Outside of my professional life, in my personal life I am a keen photographer and as such MacBooks have become my default choice when choosing a laptop where using my own money is concerned.

I’ve had a lot of exposure to Windows based Laptops through my professional life, and even historically took the plunge on a few Surface Devices… but it’s been tough to convince me to make the move away from my trusted MacBooks… Until now….

I’ve purchased a Surface Laptop, 7th Generation with Snapdragon X Elite and 16GB RAM, 13.8″ Display, 512GB storage… and WOW… I am impressed, not an easy thing for a Windows laptop to do for a loyal Mac user.

I did also consider pulling the trigger on a Dell XPS13, but the fact it came with McAffee bloatware with no option to have it removed at time of purchase along with long shipping times, pushed me in the direction of the Surface.

Why am I impressed?

Battery Life seems to match my MacBooks, performance is very snappy and responsive and both the design and build quality so far seem solid.

Time will tell as I put it through its paces as my daily driver but things look very promising.
